dc.description.abstract  第41屆英國牛津劍橋國際化學奧林匹亞競賽台灣代表隊之選拔過程的最大特色,是在於增添一個新的歷程-決選營,把原先兩階段的篩選方式,改為三階段。 因此本研究就是以此為依據,主要針對此屆我國所選出的四位國家代表選手,以其初選、選訓至決選營之篩選歷程的測驗成績與結果間關聯性為基礎,探討此屆新的選拔方式是否為一有效之過程,而得到的結果如下: 一、在初選階段,四位國家代表選手的筆試總成績皆是落在4.1%以內,且總成績前3名即是四位國家代表選手中的3名,代表透過此初選試題似乎可大致粗略選出國家代表選手,準確率達75%。 二、在選訓階段,四位國家代表選手的成績排名,皆是落在5名以內,又其中3名國家代表選手是在前4名中,表示此次的測驗也大可區分出四位國家代表選手中的3位,準確度達75%,且此階段排名第5名的國家代表選手,其成績與第4名的差距並不大,所以辨別度極低,因此有必要在進一步篩選,以避免造成選拔上的誤差。 三、在決選階段,每位選手的實力皆相當堅強,彼此難分軒輊,似乎都有著代表國家出賽的能力存在;並將四位國家代表選手的國際競賽成績與此階段的預測對照,發現到兩者之間有著一定程度上的相似性。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractThe key feature in the process (courses) of selecting 4 Taiwanese competitors of the 41st International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) is the addition of a new course – Round 3 (Final 3 weeks OxBridge Chemistry Taste study selection study camp). The courses change from two (In Round 2,to separate the oral exam from tasks exams of 50 candidates to 8 candidates) to three (add seminar to the 8 candidates in Round 3). The correlations of the final 4 scores in 41st IChO with those in three rounds assessments were investigated based on this new selection scheme. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. In Round 1, the total scores of written examination of the four competitors are in top 4.1 %. The ranking of Taiwanese Team 1st to 3rd in 41st IChO is the three of the four competitors, so the competitors were roughly distinguished by the examination in Round 1 with 75% confidence. 2. In Round 2, the ranking of the four competitors are in between 1st and 5th. The 1st to 4th is the three of the four competitors, so the task in Round 2 is a nice way to distinguished four competitors from the others with 75% accuracy. The 4th and the 5th contestants are not good enough to discriminate in last 18 years routine selection by successive Round 2 Study-Selection Camp. So the addition of assessment of 2 teams capacity as final Round 3 is the alternative and efficient way to the peer-study of the hosting country’s Preparatory Problems. 3. In Round 3 with 2 teams (8 competitors), the ability of the seven contestants candidates in this study is very close. It seems that each of them is possible to be the final 4 competitors. The highly correlation between the taken strategy in Round 3 and the best performance of the Taiwanese (top) team in International Chemistry Olympiad is manifested in this study.en_US
