大學住宿生網路休閒行為之研究
摘 要
本研究為瞭解大學住宿生於課餘在宿舍上網的休閒現況,以及不同背景變項間的差異,透過問卷調查法,對國立臺灣師範大學94學年度第二學期住宿大學生發放問卷4583份,計回收有效問卷2983份,回收比例達65.1%。
在分析上網行為發現:一、上網頻率在性別上有顯著差異,男生較趨向高頻率。二、經常使用的上網時段為晚上10時至凌晨1時,其次是下午6時至晚上10時。三、經常性的上網目的為傳達訊息及瀏覽或查詢資料庫。四、宿舍享有免費上網且自由自在,造成忽略課業及干擾睡眠的問題。
在分析網路休閒效益發現:一、不同的性別在教育、心理效益出現顯著差異。二、不同的年級未出現顯著差異。三、不同的學院在社交、放鬆、教育、心理效益均有顯著差異,科技學院、理學院較高,藝術學院較低。四、僑、外籍生與本國生在社交、放鬆、心理有顯著差異,僑、外籍生較低。五、不同的上網能力在社交、放鬆、教育、心理效益均有顯著差異,以非常熟練較高。六、上網頻率在社交、放鬆、教育、心理效益均有顯著差異,以每天隨時上網較高。

Abstract This study is intended to investigate the status quo of the college boarding students’ online leisure activity, and further to understand the variations caused by people with different backgrounds. A questionnaire survey of 4,583 NTNU boarding students was conducted in the second semester of the academic year 2006, and 2,983 questionnaires were completed and returned; these numbers result in an effective response rate of 65.1%. We found four characteristics from our analysis of the boarding students’ online activity: (1) In terms of frequent internet use, there was a big difference in gender; males had a bigger population; (2) The most frequent time period to go online was from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., followed by the time period from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; (3) The purpose to frequently go online included message transmission, online surfing, and search on the database; (4) Free internet access and freedom in the dormitory resulted in students’ negligence of studies and disturbance of sleep. We also found six characteristics from our analysis of Internet leisure benefits: (1) There was much difference between two genders in terms of educational and psychological benefits; (2) There was no obvious difference in students of different grades; (3) Colleges were quite different from each other in terms of social, relaxing, educational and psychological benefits; the College of Technology and the College of Science were higher than the College of Arts; (4) Overseas Chinese students and foreign students were quite different from the local students in terms of social, relaxing and psychological benefits; the latter were higher; (5) Different online abilities resulted in different social, relaxing, educational and psychological benefits; the more able, the higher; (6) The frequency of Internet use determined the difference in social, relaxing, educational and psychological benefits; the more frequent, the higher.
