本研究旨在探討勾股定理的代數與幾何證明的多樣性,以魯米斯(Elisha Scott Loomis)所著作的《勾股定理》(The Pythagorean Proposition)書中所蒐集的證明作為研究題材,從中選取25個代數,及20個幾何分類的證明進行探究,並重新加以修補其中不完整之處。 長久以來,學生對於數學學習一直深感困惑及害怕,尤其是面對數學證明,然而學習嚴謹的證明可以促進邏輯思考,增進推理能力,因此藉由勾股定理的多重證明,提供給教師及學生一個不同面向的思考路線。另外,為了提升學生對於數學學習的興趣,以及達到有效學習,也與團隊合作開發了部分的數位教材,及拼圖教材,以幫助教師、學生建立一個生動活潑有趣的教學環境及學習場域。
