挑戰職業網球之路自我敘說

Abstract

網球是一項歷史悠久的運動，在臺灣運動環境下想要成為一位頂尖的職業網球選手相當不容易，會面臨許多挑戰，這過程背後的心路歷程是值得整理。本研究目的描寫職業網球運動員的初踏、啟程、轉折及最後找到自我核心價值，了解過程中的網球衝突歷程與意義反思。研究問題描繪學生運動員成長過程與中途轉變追求成為職業運動員的經歷與調適。研究方法：利用探究方法中自我敘說的方式來書寫「我」之生命故事，採用質性研究透過信實度水晶化檢證，以選訓紀錄、新聞、相關論著等多元文本。結論：我從一開始對職業網球的一無所知，無法獨自出國，中間才意識到職業網球員的競爭關係，又在一次機運下，開始正式認識職業網球。之後因排名停滯，資金不足以致參賽數量限制，一次比賽下，終於打進第一次職業賽四強，在排名穩定上升之時，腰傷復發，同時遇到家中資金匱乏，另一邊則是中國教球機會，一度迷茫錯愕甚至差點放棄，在淬鍊中尋找自我價值。Tennis has a long history; however, it is never an easy task for one to become a top professional tennis player, I have been faced many challenges in the sports environment of Taiwan. The mental journey behind the process is worth a record of writings. The aim of this study is to describe my process as a professional tennis player from the first start of entering the career to find my own core value to departure and to the turning points, in order to understand the process of tennis conflicts and the reflections on its meanings. The research question describes the growth process of a student athlete as I am to become a professional athlete in the middle of the process. Methods: The inquiry method, especially the self-narrative method, is used to write the life story of “myself” by adopting qualitative research and validity crystallization. Then the research adopts multiple texts such as records of athlete selection, news, and relevant research. Conclusion: I knew nothing about professional tennis in the beginning and could not go abroad alone. Then I realized the competitive relationship among professional tennis players. Fortunately, with one opportunity, I started to formally know the meaning of professional tennis. Afterwards, due to the stagnation of rankings and the lack of funds, my number of participation in the matches were greatly limited. In one match, I advanced to my first professional semifinal. Unfortunately, as my ranking was steadily rising, I had a recurrence of waist injury and a lack of funds in my family on the one hand. On the other hand, there was an opportunity for me to teach tennis in China. At one time, I was confused and shocked, almost on the verge of giving up the career. Finally, I discover my self-value in the constant training and competition for this professional tennis journey.
