Abstract
無中文摘要
The objective of this thesis is to develop a concept of cross region pharmaceutical vaccine cold chain distribution management, and also to identify potential risks and challenges in cold chain logistics process. The concept is based on empirical and experimental studies. It analyses challenges of the cross regional transportation by taking a case analysis of a pharmaceutical company vaccine distributes from United Kingdom to Taiwan and introduce a general concept of supply chain and cold chain management as well. One of a method used in this research was to perform a case study of a newly launch vaccine shipping from United Kingdom to Taiwan in summer and winter. The study analyses the cold chain distribution temperature condition risk on this temperature sensitive product which require the storage requirement of 2-8°C during the entire transportation route. The result and conclusion of the research indicate temperature management is the key factor that contributed success in cold chin distribution. The aim of the requirements is to keep the temperature steady. Any error could potentially lead to serious consequences from product quality efficacy / degradation to product wastage.
