貌離神合的追求與困境:以《藝術終結之後:當代藝術與歷史藩籬》之中譯為例

Abstract

本論文旨在以筆者㆗文譯作《藝術終結之後:當代藝術與歷史藩籬》的翻譯策略作為自評的對象,並同時從事理論與實務的探索。理論方面就是針對藝術及美學的專業背景詳加研究整理,實務方面則著重翻譯實作的問題解決及完成後的評析檢討,希望能兼從理論與實務兩個面向出發,從事以當代西洋藝術為主題的翻譯論文研究。但願㆗文讀者能因譯者雙管齊㆘的努力,㆒窺這部經典之 作的奧妙。
This thesis is a commentary on the Chinese translation of “After the End of Art:Contemporary Art and the Pale of History” The translator engages herself in the background knowledge acquisition needed for the task and then after completion of the translation, makes self-critique on the strategies applied. Being the author of the thesis,the translator aspires not just to finish the translation but to do in-depth researches on art and aesthetics. Taking care of theoretical and practical tasks at the same time, the translator hopefully makes this informative and inspiring masterpiece of contemporary western art shared by Chinese readers.
