Abstract

本文旨在探討《道德經》語句的主題和述題的組合模式，描寫《道德經》篇章結構，繼而從系統功能語言學的角度考察《道德經》在構築統一的「語義場」，達致篇章粘合性和連貫性的過程中所運用的詞彙手段。考察著重於連接詞的篇章銜接與照應的功能，因為連接詞不僅是構成篇章語句間粘合關係的一個重要的詞彙手段，而且還是篇章語義上的連貫性和語句間邏輯-語義關係的一個重要的形式標記。

This article aims to investigate the modes of Theme-Rheme combination and logico-semantic relations in the text of the Tao Te Ching, and to explore from a systemic-functional linguistic perspective various lexical devices employed in the Tao Te ching to build up lexico-semantic fields and achieve texture for this Taoist canon with focus on the function of connectives in establishing textual cohesion and coherence, because conjunction is not only an important lexical device to establish cohesive ties between linguistic elements, but also an important marker of logico-semantic relations between them.
