許丙丁之報刊漫畫研究—以《臺灣警察時報》、《三六九小報》為中心

Abstract
漫畫在臺灣歷史中有其發展脈絡，至今成為文化研究的一項研究重點，然則現今臺灣戰前漫畫的發展著磨甚少，臺灣歷經日治本統治五十年期間，教育、文化以及各種制度的建立、洗禮，進而進入臺灣人民的生活。藉由日治時期的報刊雜誌看到「漫畫」的蹤影，對日治時期的文化表現有更深層的認識，本研究以在日治時期具有警察身份的臺灣人許丙丁為主，以他在日治時期之報紙刊物—《臺灣警察時報》、《三六九小報》上所發表的漫畫作為核心，探討方向有二：
一、本研究為戰前的臺灣漫畫，以一位日治時期的臺人「漫畫家」許丙丁為中心，希望藉由許丙丁的「漫畫」研究得到一些成果，彌補早期「臺灣漫畫史」的缺失，探討臺灣漫畫的較少為人知的日治時期。
二、填補許丙丁研究中缺少的「漫畫」領域，從其在日治時期特殊的警察經歷延伸，以及卸下職務後的生活面貌。以「漫畫的許丙丁」這個尚未被探討的範疇，期能對許丙丁有更多層面的認識，為許丙丁與他的漫畫定位，並填補現有許丙丁研究的闕失。
Comics has its own development story in Taiwanese history and it has become a research topic in today’s cultural studies. However, there are few researches about the pre-war comics in Taiwan although they have entered the daily life of Taiwanese people with the introduction of Japanese education, culture and various systems during the fifty years of Japanese colonial period. By appreciating the “comics” in the newspapers and magazines back then we may gain deeper understanding about the cultural manifestations during the Japanese colonial period. The study focuses on the comics created by Mr. Bingding Hsu, a former police officer, for the “Taiwan keisatsu jihō” and “369 Tabloid” during the Japanese colonial period. There are two major discussions in the study: 1. The research subject is the pre-war comics in Taiwan. By researching the “comics” of Mr. Bingding Hsu, a Taiwanese cartoonist in the Japanese colonial period, the study is expected to obtain research results to make up for the lost attention to the early “Taiwanese comics history” and to discuss the lesser-known period of Taiwanese comics. 2. The study further reveals Mr. Hsu’s experience as a police officer for the Japanese government and his retirement life in order to fill up the missing discussions about “comics” in Bingding Hsu studies. The first-time discussion about “Bingding Hsu the cartoonist” is expected to provide more understandings of Mr. Bingding Hsu and to position the cartoonist and his comics, and therefore to complete the current Bingding Hsu studies.
