東南亞語言筆譯市場在臺灣的現況調查

Abstract

隨著臺灣東南亞籍人口的攀升，以及政府積極推動與東南亞國家的合作交流，近年來對於東南亞語言筆譯需求亦相應增加。然而，在臺灣屬於小語種的東南亞語言，過去對其筆譯市場的研究甚少，而既有的文獻也幾乎都聚焦於社區口譯。故本研究透過半結構式訪談，探究十位東南亞語言筆譯者之觀點，以了解臺灣東南亞語言筆譯市場的供需狀況、發展情形與筆譯者的工作滿意度，作為日後相關研究之參考。本研究結果希望臺灣東南亞語言筆譯服務的專業與重要性能獲得更廣泛認識，以落實語言平權的精神。With the increased population of Southeast Asians in Taiwan and the government's active promotion of cooperation with Southeast Asian countries, the demand for translations in Southeast Asian languages in Taiwan has increased correspondingly in recent years. However, in the past, there have been few studies on the translation market of Southeast Asian languages, which are minor languages in Taiwan, and the existing literature has almost focused on community interpreting. Therefore, this study aims to explore the supply and demand situation, the development situation and the job satisfaction of translators in the Southeast Asian language translation market in Taiwan from the viewpoint of ten Southeast Asian language translators through semi-structured interviews. The results of this study hope that the professionalism and importance of Southeast Asian language translation services will be widely recognized to achieve language equality in Taiwan.
