Abstract

1865年英國長老教會(The Presbyterian in England)的外國傳道局(Foreign Mission Committee)派遣馬雅各醫生(Dr. J.L.
Over several centuries, through the Dutch short-term propaganda; Christianity has had interruptions in proclaiming the death and resurrection of our Lord. Only until 1856 Qing dynasty was conquered by the England and France Allied armies and while Chinese government signed the treaty of unequally then the foreign powers had the right to preach the gospel in China and Taiwan; Taiwan being included as China. For this reason they had the housing right in An-Ping、Kao-Hsiung、Dan-Shuei and Chi-Lung which were and still are Taiwan’s commercial harbors. The missionaries were preaching the gospel in Taiwan.
