Abstract
本研究採用質性研究方法,深入探究了兩位身心障礙者家長成為家長領袖的轉折與歷程。資料蒐集是透過深度訪談與文件資料等方式,以及與研究者互動所得。
經過資料蒐集、分析與詮釋,研究者先分別呈現兩位身心障礙者家長的經驗故事,再進一步提出各階段的核心議題。本研究主要發現如下:
一、身心障礙者家長領袖的重要轉折是在家長團體/宗教團體中得到支持,透過團體的參與當中找到其自我價值。
二、身心障礙者家長領袖希望透過複製其自身充權的經驗來幫助其他身障者家庭。
三、身心障礙者家長領袖其個人特質與經驗,影響家長團體的服務與發展。
四、身心障礙者家長領袖在發展組織上,皆認知到「被看見」的重要性,因而透過不同的方式持續與政府及廣大民眾溝通。
整體而言,家長團體/宗教團體能盡早為身障障礙者家長提供支持與服務,讓他們有機會在當中感到安心與被接納,將有利於他們找到自我價值,促進他們更獨立與以自身經驗來協助他人的動力。
The purpose of this study was to explore the psychological process from aparent of a disabled children to a parent leader. The qualitative research method was applied, thoroughly investigated the critical points and experience of two parents of disabled children. Data collection was through depth interviews, documents, records, and the interaction with the investigator. Through data collection, analysis, and interpretation, this study presents the background stories of this two families and furthermore proposes the core topic of each phase. The major finding of this study are as follows: 1. The critical point of leader parents of disabled children is to gain supports from parents/religion group, therefore, they recognise self-value through participating groups. 2. The leader parents would like to help other families with disabled children through repeating their experience of empowerment. 3. The personality and experience of the leader parents affect the service and development of parent groups. 4. Both these two leader parents realised the importance of “Being seen” in developing organisation, hence consistently communicate with government and public in multiple aspects. All in all, parents/religion group provides parents of disabled children supports and services which grants them to feel relived and accepted. These benefit them to find self-value and impel them to be independent and help others with their experience.
