zh_TW
From the view of observations about sports center and the researcher itself’s experience as a staff of many events in multi-purpose center, this research is based on staffs and users in Taipei sports center multi-purpose court. This research is to evaluate the gap between multi-purpose court space requirements from users and the physical environment the sports center provides by using Post-Occupancy Evaluation to analyze. The research shows three main results. First, although Taipei sports center are mostly named multi-purpose courts, they tend to be homogenized, dominated by basketball and badminton. Second, different sports have different requirements against space and equipment. For example, basketball users pay attention to court space and whether there are enough obstacles around the court. For badminton users, emphasize on lighting and air conditioning. However, most sports center’s court to not correspond with badminton requirements. Currently, only Bei-Tou 2F and Da-An ball court have professional side lights for badminton. Lastly, the principle factors that influence the usage of Taipei sports center multi-purpose court are regional population differences, management differences, and facilities differences. Our research concludes that from the environmental behavior of users and Post-Occupancy Evaluation analysis, there is a gap between physical environment and user requirements. The main issue for multi-purpose courts is that space is too small and poor hardware design results in different problems staffs and users face when using.en_US
