Abstract

本研究採用自我民族誌 (autoethnography) 研究方法,以小說體書寫,描寫我身為男同志之生命故事,其目的是探究在臺灣社會中男同志身分之於我的意義與影響。在異性戀為主流價值的社會中,為了保護自己,我以「偽裝式」展演處世,並刻意扮演異性戀者與模仿陽剛氣質以符合社會對於我生理性別之期待。透過網路社群進而與日常生活中的男同志族群產生連結,從互動過程中建立同志認同。藉由男同志與非同志從事運動與休閒之比較中,瞭解除了性傾向不同,兩者同樣身而為人,有著愛與被愛的想望,並無相異。在社會價值觀的變遷下,臺灣推動同志婚姻平權相關法案,我亦藉由與社會他人的互動以及撰寫論文之契機,回溯成長過程中的自己。
This study uses the research method of “Autoethnography” to describe the life story of my own gay growth process in the style of novel genre. The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning and influence of gay identity in Taiwan society. In a society where heterosexuality is the mainstream value, in order to protect myself, I performed in a "disguised form" and deliberately played as a heterosexual and imitated masculinity to meet the expectations of society for my gender. I found gay communities through online community and they connected with my daily life, and my gay identity was established from the interaction process. Through the comparison of sports and leisure between gays and straights, I realized that gays and straights are all different, yet the same. Under the change of social values, Taiwan has promoted the bills related to gay marriage and equal rights. I traced back the growth process of my life story by interacting with others and writing this thesis.
