追求超越的旅程-聽障碩博士之求學歷程

Abstract

摘 要 本研究旨在探討四位聽障碩、博士之求學歷程,及其曾面臨之學習困境,並剖析其因應或克服學習困境之策略,最後歸納出四位聽障者學習成功並成為傑出人才之關鍵。研究方法以質性研究典範之個案研究進行,資料蒐集方式以深入訪談為主,相關文件資料為輔,據以完整了解聽障碩、博士之求學歷程。 綜而言之,四位聽障碩、博士之求學歷程因家庭背景、致障情形、個人特質,以及其他因素之影響而有所差異。其曾面臨之學習困境有:因聽力限制而學習受到阻礙;教育體制僵化,所受特殊教育服務少;在人際溝通上遭遇挫折。其因應或克服學習困境之策略有:能自己承擔學習之責任而主動學習;積極充實自己的能力,以增加競爭力;能主動爭取機會,不受困境限制,終能突破困境;對逆境抱持正向的看法,樂觀以對。 研究者根據訪談結果以及相關文件資料,綜合歸納四位聽障碩、博士學習成功並成為傑出人才之關鍵為:擁有積極主動之學習態度,並勇於求知;面對問題具反省思考能力,體認自己之不足,而尋找合宜的解決方法;有良好之人際及溝通能力,善用人力資源協助解決問題;具科技資訊應用能力,並據以解決學習、溝通、職場上所面臨之阻礙。最後並根據研究結果提出相關建議。 關鍵詞:聽障者、求學歷程、求學困境
ABSTRACT The purpose of the study is to explore the learning journeys of four Masters and Doctors with hearing difficulties. Their learning difficulties and the strategies they have utilized to overcome their problems will be analyzed. The study will also identify how these four individuals succeed and achieve preeminence. Relevant suggestions will be proposed according to the research findings. This qualitative study is based on a number of case studies. Data were mainly collected from in-depth interviews, as well as relevant documents. It has been found that (1) the learning journeys of these four participants were influenced by their family backgrounds, causes of difficulties, and personalities; (2) the learning difficulties they have encountered included hearing limitations, rigid educational systems, and inter-personal communication; (3) the coping strategies were taking responsibilities of their own learning, actively enhancing their own abilities, striving for every opportunity and keeping positive; (4) the key points for them to be excellent were active and positive learning attitudes, reflective abilities, good inter-personal communicative competences, and information technology skills.
