| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | In recent years, the aging society with a low fertility rate in Taiwan has become increasingly severe. The enhancement of medical care and technology, as well as the increased focus on the physical and mental health of the elderly, have escalated the life expectancy of the general population. Learning positively impacts the physical and mental health of the elderly, and the demand for learning among the elderly is growing significantly. Furthermore, in an aging and low fertility society, the number of students at all levels of Taiwanese schools is decreasing, and many schools are at risk of closing or being compelled to merge. A significant quantity of campus space needs to be utilized. This study first uses the literature analysis method and case study method for research to summarize the relevant design points and as a follow-up to the design of in-depth interview questions based on the elderly, teachers, office workers, students, and four different types of respondents to conduct in-depth interviews. The initial design plan was outlined based on the initial three research methods. Subsequently, two experts specializing in interior design were engaged to conduct interviews to assess the viability of the design plan. Finally, the design plan was revised considering the feedback received from the experts' interviews and subsequent evaluations. According to the preceding section's analysis, this project utilizes unused space at an elementary school to transform into a senior citizen learning center for the Elderly. It is anticipated that this research will save a significant quantity of unused space on campus that is being lost due to the aging and low fertility trends, as well as meet the demand for a learning environment in a society that is elderly in the future. | en_US |
