從客語聖經翻譯看臺灣教會客家運動

Abstract

「臺灣教會客家運動」是指一群客家基督徒為了突破客家在傳教上的困難，以組織的建立、聖經的翻譯、跨教派的連結等實際行動，逐漸形成的運動過程。而客語聖經的出版可以說是教會中客家人自立的成果展示，也是「臺灣教會客家運動」的一項重要成就，筆者以客語聖經翻譯歷程作為研究軸心，透過事件發展的爬梳，以此向外開展相關的議題。本文將以社會運動的角度分析「臺灣教會客家運動」的發展與影響，說明此運動不僅具有語言運動、族群運動的縮影，更隸屬於1980年代臺灣客家文化運動中的一環，筆者將以教會外部的觀察者，企圖陳述臺灣客家人在基督教體系中的邊緣與自立。

“Taiwan Church- Hakka Christian Movement,” a social movement and process of Hakka Christians tend to propagandize religious work by establish organization, Hakka Bible translation, and trans-denomination connections.

Hakka Bible was published in 1993, a great achievement of “Taiwan Church- Hakka Christian Movement,” also exhibit independency of Hakka people as this thesis use Hakka Bible translation as a blueprint interconnect with organization bonding from a non-Christian point of view.

By analyzing “Taiwan Church- Hakka Christian Movement” as a social movement not only involves linguistic progression but also ethnic propulsion of Taiwanese Hakka culture in 1980s.
