日本近世初期禪僧朱學思想釐探: 以薩南學派南浦文之為例

Abstract
本文以日本薩南學派重要人物,活躍於中世至近世初期的禪僧南浦文之為探討對象,呈現其儒學思想與應用儒學的情形。南浦文之甚有功於朱子學在日本的傳播,然而過往研究觸及的範圍仍少,故本文嘗詴再度梳理其儒學思想內容,並根據其禪僧身分,以及幫助島津家進行外交工作的相關表現,進行更完整的探討。本文指出,文之秉承朱子學學統,強調自得之學,而又有成己成物之理想,以此主張佛儒一致,並重視學校的教化功能。此外,本文進一步探討文之運用儒學資源的情形,說明他透過儒學來建立以禪僧身分為君主祈禱的意義,以及合理化薩摩侵略琉球的行為,藉此從東亞歷史發展的角度來觀察文之的活動。
This paper aims to Japanese Zen monk Nanpobunshi(1555-1620) who was an important scholar of the Satsunan School to explore his thought of Confucianism and use of it. Through the research, we draw the following conclusions: Based on Shushigaku, Nanpobunshi emphasized the importance of learning which is about personal cultivation and related education, and advocated the consistency of Buddism and Confuciansim. He also used Confucianism to construct the rationality of praying for Lord, and Satsuma’s aggression to Ryukyu.
