zh_TW
The study was to investigate the relationships between Gelotophobia, Gelotophilia, Katagelasticism, creative tendency, and sociometric status of elementary school fifth and sixth graders in Northern Taiwan. 318 students completed the measurements including Inventory PhoPhiKat-TC questionnaire,Williams Creative-Tendency, and Sociometric Status Inventory. Research data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, multivariate analysis of variance, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis. And the results are as followed: 1. Elementary school higher grades students’ Gelotophilia of PhoPhiKat could predict Social Preference, while Imagination of Creative Tendency could negatively predict Social Preference; Gelotophilia and Katagelasticism could both predict Social Impact. 2. Elementary school higher graders with different genders performed differently in PhoPhiKat, Creative Tendency, and Sociometric Status-- Male students scored higher on Gelotophilia, Katagelasticism, and Social Impact than female students did; female students, on the other hand, scored higher on Gelotophobia and Creative Tendency. 3. The regression analysis showed that intermediary effects between PhoPhiKat, Creative Tendency, and Sociometric Status were different with genders, Male students’ Gelotophilia of PhoPhiKat could predict Social Preference, while Imagination of Creative Tendency could negatively predict Social Preference; nevertheless, the regression analysis of female students showed no significant effect. According to the major findings of this research, the researcher made some suggestions for educational consultation and further studies in the future.en_US
