華語流行音樂創作歷程探析-以《初愛》音樂會為例

Abstract

隨著音樂環境的改變，使得現今音樂創作工作者必須具備多方面的能力，包括：詞曲創作、樂器彈奏、歌曲演唱、編曲、錄音、混音等技術。筆者為年輕的流行音樂工作者，發現上述能力的重要性。 筆者從流行音樂唱奏者角度出發，先後學習詞曲創作，以本音樂會歌曲的創作歷程探析，成為本文的基礎。 筆者藉由本文，從歌曲之創作歷程面，探討作品的概念與歌詞意義、作曲動機。本音樂會共有七首原創作品，係筆者在面對愛情各階段的體悟為主軸。 論商業角度，隨著聽眾聆聽音樂習慣從實體進入數位的轉變，實體專輯的銷售顯然已不是產業中主要收入來源，使得流行音樂產業收入結構產生變化，因此演唱音樂會成為重要的收入來源之一。 然而，為了讓聽眾留下深刻印象，每位歌手都需要自己的代表作品，因此創作是流行歌曲的開端，並且隨著時間使其不斷產出，讓歌手從流行歌曲中的演譯者變成生產者，透過管道宣傳使其流行化，進而發展至開辦演唱音樂會的階段。To adapt with the change of the music industry, music creators nowadays need to equip numerous skills, including songwriting, musical performance, singing, arrangement, recording, mixing, etc. Being a young aspiring pop musician, the author of the thesis observed and found out the importance of the skills mentioned above. The author started out as a pop music performer, learning songwriting along the way. This thesis depicts the creative process of his graduation concert. In this thesis, the author shared the stories behind 7 original songs he wrote for the graduation concert. What the audience can expect from the thesis includes the concept, motivation and lyrics behind each song, which are about the experience and epiphany the author gained from different stages of his past romantic relationships. Business wise, music listening experience has shifted from purchasing CDs to digital subscription, hence the sales of the physical copies have become less significant. The revenue structure has changed, and live concerts has become one of the most significant revenue streams in the industry. To leave an impression to the audience, each artist needs to have his own representative work. “Songwriting” is the beginning of pop music, and as time goes by, the mass production of songs has made artists not just singers but transformed them into producers. Through marketing, the artists are able to deliver creations to the mass public and in the end leading to the realisation of live gigs and stadium concerts.
