職棒球員身體資本之形成及其轉化

Abstract
本研究以布爾迪厄的理論為基礎,探究職棒球員所歷經的社會場域,與其身體資本之形成及轉化間的關係。本研究採文獻分析法整理相關理論,並訪談現役中華職業棒球聯盟球員,理解其在社會結構中的定位及社會化的過程,如何影響他們所獲取的資源,進而間接形塑其運動參與的態度及策略。本研究結論如下:國內職棒球員確實存在著社會階級的弱勢,探究原因主要來自於我國棒球運動在歷史脈絡、教育體制、國家政策,以及對於參與族群的限制。而職棒球員除依循場域中的運作方式實踐對身體資本的投資外,亦受到所涉入的場域左右其實踐行動的內容,產生不同身體資本轉化之價值。對於職棒球員而言,現下的社會場域並非友善的環境,然而,多元文化與消費社會或許可為職棒球員帶來一線生機,透過提升象徵資本的價值,期能將身體資本更有效地轉化成經濟資本,進而提升職棒球員身處的社會資本網絡以及文化資本涵養,讓職棒球員逐漸獲取社會階級流動的機會,改善整體棒球環境。
This research was based on the sociological theory of Pierre Bourdieu, and aimed to analyze the connection of Formations and Transformations in Physical Capital of Professional Baseball Players. Through documentary analysis and semi-structured interview, this research focused on specific respondents who currently play professional baseball, and tried to explain how their social position and socialization process influenced their recourses, attitudes and strategies. To conclude this study, professional baseball players were dominated in the social world, and it is related with the historical, national and educational policies in Taiwan. Through practices, they developed a certain physical capitals which are adapted to the needs of the social fields that they inhabit. Although, the social world was not a friendly environment to these professional baseball players, it would be more likely to create their values in this multicultural and consumer society. Moreover, by articulating the symbolic capitals, social capitals, economic capitals, and cultural capitals, it would be able to achieve a high social mobility in their social world.
