張愛玲《傳奇》創作研究

Abstract

張愛玲出生成長於中國政治上和文化上變動最劇烈的時期，而她身為貴族後代、遺老家庭的家世背景，也給了她與眾不同的成長經驗。中國傳統文化和西方新潮流思想在她身上得到了巧妙的融合，而創作出了一篇篇既華麗又蒼涼的小說作品。本論文將探討：「近代上海」這樣特殊的時空背景，對張愛玲的《傳奇》創作帶來什麼樣的影響？並進一步從文本中梳理，張愛玲如何將時代對她的影響呈現在作品中？張愛玲的小說注重的是人與人之間，親疏遠近關係的相互拉扯，所構築出的文本張力，她是如何藉由文本鋪陳來呈現她所感知的這個時代？在這些故事之中，呈現了她什麼樣的世界觀？以及，張愛玲如何運用特定的寫作手法，去強化讀者對於她想呈現的世界觀的閱讀感知？經由探討上述問題，來回應「近代上海」這個特殊的場域，如何影響張愛玲的創作成就以及後來她所期盼的成名。因此論文將扣緊「時代」作為核心，分析張愛玲及其《傳奇》文本所呈現出的時代意義。Eileen Chang was born and raised in China during a period of intense political and cultural transformation. Her family background of noble lineage and antiquity resulted in a distinctive upbringing. She skillfully interweaved traditional Chinese culture with new Western concepts to create beautiful and bleak novels.This paper will examine the impact of the particular spatial and temporal context of “modern Shanghai” on Eileen Chang's novel, “Legends,” and further discuss how Eileen Chang depicted the influence of the era on her work. Eileen Chang's novels emphasize the textual tension created by relationships between individuals, both intimate and distant. How did she present the era she perceived through the texts? What kind of worldview did she present in these stories? How did Eileen Chang employ specific writing techniques to enhance the readers’ perception of the worldview she attempted to convey?By investigating the above questions, we can begin to answer how the particular environment of 'modern Shanghai' influenced Chang Eileen's creative achievements and her subsequent reputation. Consequently, this paper will focus on the "era" as the core to analyze the contemporary significance of Eileen Chang and her novel, Legend.
