《青年日報》如何反映意識形態：以拜登護臺新聞為例

Abstract

全球化在科技飛速進步的現代已然是時勢所趨，而要與世界接軌最有效率的方式，無非是瞭解國際新聞。然而大部分國人仍傾向閱讀中文，因此需要閱讀經過編譯員將英文翻譯成中文的新聞居多。由國防部發行的《青年日報》，是我國唯一的國營報紙，其中「寰宇安全版」及「軍視界」版便是翻譯外電報導的國際新聞。學術界針對不同的出版商及報社，在翻譯的過程當中因其意識形態影響翻譯成果，已有諸多研究。這些研究藉由守門人理論或贊助方理論指出，儘管第一手接觸國際新聞的是編譯員，最後仍是掌權的組織決定刊登內容。然經文獻回顧後發現，目前少有學者研究國營媒體在翻譯過程中的意識形態表現，對翻譯的結果有甚麼影響。因此本研究欲分析《青年日報》翻譯外電新聞的報導，比較《青年日報》和民營報紙的差別，透過分析報導的標題，以瞭解《青年日報》在報導這些新聞時所欲傳達的立場或目的及背後的意識形態。

Globalization is a prevailing trend in today’s rapidly advancing technological era. The most efficient way to stay connected with the world requires understanding international news. However, the majority of Taiwanese people still prefer reading news in Chinese, which necessitates translation. Youth Daily issued by the Ministry of Defense, is the sole state-owned newspaper in Taiwan. Its"Global Security" and "Military Perspective" sections involve translating news from international sources. Previous academic research has explored the translation processes of various publishers and newspapers, highlighting the influence of ideological factors on translation outcomes. Drawing upon gatekeeping theory and patronage theory, these studies suggest that while translators are the first to encounter international news, the final decision on content publication lies with the controllingorganization. However, after reviewing the existing literature, it appears that there are few scholars studying the ideological expressions of state-owned media in the translation process and how they affect the translation results. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the reporting of translated foreign news in Youth Daily and compare its content with privately-owned newspapers. By examining headlines, the research seeks to uncover the positions, objectives, and underlying ideologies in Youth Daily.
