Abstract

Purpose: In this paper, we examine athletes trained by three different methods—complex training method, plyometrics training method, and the control group on their differences of body movements, lower-extremity vertical force, and heights while performing salto. Methods: The subjects of the research are eighteen contestants played in Collegiate Open Artistic Gymnastics. They are separated into complex training group, plyometrics training group, and the control group. All the subjects are trained twice per week during the eight weeks, and they perform salto before and after the training with height, falling angle, and movement recorded. In this paper, one-way ANOVA of independent samples is used to analyze improved rates, and the results are compared to that of the dependent t-test (α =0.5). Results: By using complex training method, the subjects improved 36.97% in height while performing salto and their falling angle improved 9.09%. After CMJ height training, subjects improve 19.90%, while a 36.85% improvement rate can be seen after plyometrics training. Though slightly different, there are no significant variations in data retrieved from the three methods. Conclusion: In this research, we find out subjects trained by eight-week complex training show slightly improvement in their performance, but the improvement rate does not show discrepancy in statistical analysis.
