The Effect of "Creativity Contest Activities" on Creativity and Creativity Aptitude of Junior High School Students

|Abstract:|| 本研究旨在探討創造力競賽活動對國中學生創造力與創造性傾向之成效。研究採用「實驗組-控制組前後測實驗設計」。研究工具包括「新編創造思考測驗」、「國中學生創造性傾向量表」，另以教學日誌、活動後問卷及訪談記錄作為教學歷程之探討，並將所得資料以SPSS進行單因子共變數分析進行分析處理。研究結果如下。一、在創造力方面:實驗組在「語文創造力」及「圖形創造力」的分數顯著優於控制組。二、在創造性傾向方面:實驗組在「好奇」及「熱情」傾向的分數顯著優於控制組， 但在「挑戰」、「勇氣」、「自信」及「幽默」傾向的分數與控制組無顯著差異。三、分析活動後問卷及訪談記錄:學生對於創造力競賽活動大部分呈現正向、主動的態度；有趣及提供成就感的創造力競賽活動受到學生喜愛；學生認為創造力競賽活動帶來的成長前三名為:增加想像力(創造力、聯想力)、增加知識、分工合作。|
The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of the creativity contest activities for the creativity and creativity aptitude of junior high school students. The study was conducted under the standard experimental method, “pretest-posttest experimental design”. The subject of the study involved the students of two classes, who are the 7th grade students from the public junior high school in Taipei County. “Creativity Contest Activities“ were implemented in the experimental group for five weeks, while the control group was not being processed any activities of creativity contest.The instruments used in the study were : ”New Creativity Test for Use with Students in Taiwan”, “The Creativity Aptitude Scale for Junior High School Students”, “Feedback Questionnaires of Creativity Contest Activities”, “Teaching Log”, “Interview”. One-way ANCOVA was adopted to analyze the data. The major findings were: (1) The students of the experimental group were significantly superior in both 「linguistic creativity」 and 「figure creativity」to the students of the control group. (2) The students of the experimental group were superior to the students of the control group in the fields of “courage”, ”curiosity”, ”challenge”, ”confidence”,” enthusiasm”, and “humor”. But only the fields of “curiosity” and ”enthusiasm” reached distinct standard. (3) According to the questionnaires, most of the students’ attitude toward the 「Creativity Contest Activities」was active and positive; interesting and accomplishing activities were welcomed to the students; knowledge, imagination, and cooperation skills of the students were also improved through those activities.
