The paper studies the system and related issues about teacher qualification exam for elementary and junior high school teachers in Japan. Some related backgrounds were firstly introduced. With marco and micro views, laws, administrative procedures, format and content of the exams, developmental trends about teacher qualification exam were viewed. Finally, some suggestions were presented.
