Abstract
摘要
撞球於1978年引進台灣，由於簡單易學且富於變化的特性，迅速地受到國人的喜愛，逐漸發展為重要運動休閒項目之一。在撞球運動產業的發展過程中，消費者、業者、協會組織、政府等在此轉型與推動的過程，應建立完整的運作與輔導機制，才能形成健康的產業環境。本研究旨在探討台灣撞球運動發展過程、特質、組織運作情形、職業運動發展過程中之問題，探討撞球運動的健康性、休閒性、經濟性，並對未來發展帶來的願景，建構一套完整的發展途徑。本研究採用質性研究法，針對台灣撞球運動界人士，球館經營者、國家級教練、知名撞球選手與中華民國撞球運動協會核心幹部實施訪談，輔以SWOT分析，探討撞球運動發展面臨組織內外情勢。透過訪談綜整分析發現台灣撞球運動發展之特質及面臨的問題：（一）社會尚有負面觀感；（二）選手無妥善生涯規劃保障，影響運動人口流失；（三）未建構完整行銷計畫；（四）經濟影響場館經營困難；（五）法令未周全、產業發展斷層；（六）體育運動組織無長遠發展計畫等問題；進而提出解決方案是：（一）推動更優質、高尚之撞球運動；（二）解決不合時宜之法規；（三）帶動產業商機；（四）政府應積極著力於運動行銷政策。
Abstract The game of pool was introduced to Taiwan in 1978. Due to the easy rules and numerous variations of the game, it soon became one of the main leisure activities. Concerning the development of pool in Taiwan, consumers, pool hall operators, and the government play important role：SWOT analysis, and qualitative research method were utilized in this study to discover both internal and external factors that the development of pool in Taiwan. After conducting interviews with people related to the pool industry, such as elite athletes, coaches, and administrators of the national organization the following problems were identified in the development of pool in Taiwan：（1）A lingering negative image of the game among society at large,（2）No comprehensive career guarantees for players resulting in a loss of top players, （3）No comprehensive marketing plan for the sport, （4）Operational difficulties for pool halls caused by overall economic downturn,（5）Lack of comprehensive laws that have aversely affected industry development, and（6）No long-term development plans for organization. The SWOT analysis suggested solutions as follows：（1）Promoting a higher quality for pool,（2）Revising outdated laws , （3）Promoting economic opportunity for the sport, and（4）Comprehensive marketing plan should be supported from the government.
