Item Are you listening? --The development of online peer assessment system for English oral reading(2009-11-30) Lan, Yu-Ju; Sung, Yao-Ting; Chang, Kuo-EnPeer assessment is a common used strategy in EFL reading class in Taiwan to help EFL teacher “ensure” that all students are paying attention to others’ oral reading. In this study we develop an online peer assessment system for EFL oral reading activities to overcome the potential drawbacks of traditional peer assessment.Item A sequential behavioral detection and process analysis of knowledge construction of a collaborate learning instructional discussion activity in an online learning community(2009-05-25) Hou, Huei-Tse; Chang, Kuo-En; Sung, Yao-TingItem Detecting users’ online knowledge sharing behavioral patterns in a knowledge management system: Using sequential analysis to explore online knowledge construction process of an online teacher community(2009-06-06) 侯惠澤; 張國恩; 宋曜廷; Hou, Huei-Tse; Chang, Kuo-En; Sung, Yao-TingItem Rapid e-learning model for corporate training integrating instructional design concepts(2009-01-10) Chang, Shu-Ping; Chang, Kuo-En; Sung, Yao-Ting; Yu, Ming-HsiuItem Let’s read together: An evaluation of a computer assisted reciprocal early English reading system(2007-07-16) Lan, Yu-Ju; Sung, Yao-Ting; Chang, Kuo-EnThe purposes of this study were to evaluate the effect of a computer assisted reciprocal early English reading (CAREER) system. The results showed that these components were unable to guarantee the students to collaborate well when they lacked for the abilities to accomplish the assigned tasks. Nevertheless, with the support of the proposed mobile reading system the students were benefited by collaborating with each other.Item Analysis of time-management pattern of interactive behaviours during online project-based learning(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2007-07-18) Hou, Huei-Tse; Chang, Kuo-En; Sung, Yao-TingThis study aims to explore the time-management patterns of learners' interactive behaviors during online project-based learning (PBL) from an empirical observation without teachers' interception. According to the derived pattern, the study found how learners allocated their time and how these interactive activities influence learners to allocate their time more appropriately. Finally, we also gave some suggestions for teachers' interception and guidance for promoting the quality of students' projects.Item A mobile-device-supported brain- friendly reading system(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2008-03-23) Lan, Yu-Ju; Sung, Yao-Ting; Chang, Kuo-EnThe purposes of this study were to implement a brain-friendly learning environment for EFL early reading by a mobile-device-supported computer assisted reciprocal early English reading (CAREER) system and evaluate its effect upon elementary EFL learners' early reading skills. Results appeared that the students were benefited by collaborating with each other with the support of CAREER.Item Certification of e-learning courseware: A case study on Taiwanese experiences(2007-10-18) 宋曜廷; 張國恩; Sung, Yao-Ting; Chang, Kuo-EnItem A wireless handheld system for supporting individual and cooperative learning in Chinese reading comprehension(2008-10-27) Lan, Yu-Ju; Chang, Chien-Mei; Sung, Yao-Ting; Chang, Kuo-EnThe purpose of this research was to develop a wireless handheld system for supporting individual and cooperative reading activities in Chinese reading comprehension. The findings showed that the integration of learning scenarios with the proposed wireless handheld system could improve students' Chinese reading comprehension proficiency.Item Designing and developing a mobile-device-supported interactive-writing platform: the struggle for supporting collaborative writing in a heterogeneous EFL class(2008-10-27) Lan, Yu-Ju; Sung, Yao-Ting; Chang, Kuo-EnThis study applied design research in designing a mobile-device-supported interactive writing platform (ePoetry Zone, ePZ) for elementary EFL learners in collaborative creation. In the first iteration essential supports needed in interactive writing were identified and became the design foundation of the mobile interactive writing platform (ePZ). In the second iteration, ePZ was developed and then 23 fourth graders participated in collaborative creation by using ePZ. Some problems found in a traditional EFL setting were solved but other new problems were identified as well. The findings of the second iteration were collected and served as the revising foundation of the current version of ePZ (ePZ II).
