Item Improving experimental project evaluation through web-based self- and peer assessment(AACE, 2002-03-25) Lin, Chen-Shan; Sung,Yao-Ting; Chang, Kuo-En; Lee, Chee-LungThis study explores the application effects of self- and peer assessment from two aspects: combining evaluation and instruction, and facilitating learning with evaluation. In the aspect of combining the instruction process with self- and peer assessment, this study attempts to incorporate the Web technology into the self- and peer assessment procedure, and then to make it a part of the instruction activity. With respect to facilitating learning through evaluation, we attempt to combine self assessment, peer assessment and peer interaction to facilitate the occurrence of learning. The results of this study indicate that the Web-based self- and peer assessing activities could be successfully incorporated into classroom instruction. Moreover, the discussion among peers over their opinions and feelings about the observation and assessment results helps consensus-building among participants in evaluation and improves the objectiveness of their assessment.Item A New Structural Knowledge Assessment Based on Weighted Concept Maps(2002-12-03) Lin, Shui-Cheng; Chen, Gwo-Dong; Sung, Yao-Ting; Chang, Kuo-EnConcept maps have been widely put to educational uses. Concept maps in the past were limited in their assessment standards. Some only take concept nodes into consideration; other evaluation criteria use concept nodes as the basis, with relation links playing a minor role. To address this problem, this study proposes a new style of concept map, called weighted concept map, which assigns a weight to each proposition in a concept map to represent its importance. This study proposes a new assessment with qualitative comparison founded on a weighted concept map.Item A learning system for correcting misconceptions in DC Electric Circuits(1995-01-01) 張國恩; 簡聰茂; Chang, Kuo-En; Chien, Tsung-MouItem Application of Socratic dialogue on corrective learning of recursion programming(1996-01-01) Chang, Kuo-En; Lin, P. The completion strategy was proved to have feasible result for beginners. Based on the previous works, most of programming tutors require students to write programs and then to evaluate and explain the program correctness. This ldquoprogram generationrdquo approach is not suitable to beginners. Therefore, the purpose of this research adopts the completion strategy to have beginners learn programming. The completion strategy is to utilize the well-designed programs to let students engage in completing, modifying, and extending their program. This research first investigates the programming learning theories; then initiates the system structure of the programming learning system. Template technique is used to implement the proposed system.Item A new dynamic switch-box router(1987-12-01) 張國恩; 馮武雄; Chang, Kuo-En; Feng Wu-ShiungItem Constrained via minimization with practical considerations for multi-layer VLSI/PCB routing problems(1991-03-01) Fang, Sung-Chuan; Chang, Kuo-En; Feng, Wu-Shiung; Chen, Sao-JieItem An efficient layer assignment for three-layer VLSI routing(1989-09-01) 張國恩; 馮武雄; Fang, S.
