基本學力測驗中寫作測驗命題公平性之實證研究

Abstract

本研究旨在瞭解考生在寫作測驗中寫作表現的情形、影響考生在寫作測驗中寫作表現的因素、排除考生寫作能力的因素後，影響考生在寫作測驗中寫作表現的因素，以瞭解基測寫作命題是否具有公平性，測得學生真正之寫作能力。本研究採用內容分析及統計分析方法，將考生在寫作上的各表現進行分析編碼後，再以統計的方式考驗不同背景變項考生在寫作表現上的差異情形。研究結果發現，相同能力的考生在寫作表現上，不會受到其背景變項上的影響而有所不同，寫作題目具有公平性，但是，相同能力的考生在寫作文體類型表現上，則因性別不同而有明顯差異。最後，針對研究結果提出建議。The purposes of this study were to (1) better understand the range of writing performances characteristic of Taiwanese junior high school students; (2) analyze the factors influencing their writing performances; and (3) analyze the factors influencing their performance after controlling for writing ability as measured by the Basic Competence Test for Junior High School Students (BCTEST). Writing samples of Taiwanese junior high school students from the 2007 administration of BCTEST were collected, and analyzed with regression analysis and multinomial modeling. It was found that, after controlling for writing ability, performances differed primarily in terms of writing style. Implications for instruction and suggestions for future research are offered.
