zh_TW
The purpose of this study was to investigate the Efficacy and Mechanisms of Backpacking Education Course (A Case Study for Instructors Training). The study was conducted with students who participated in the outdoor adventure education course offered by the Department of Civic Education and Leadership at National Taiwan Normal University in 2022.Qualitative research methods, including semi-structured in-depth interviews, were employed to collect data from seven students who completed the course. The data was then analyzed using thematic analysis. The following research findings were obtained:1.The five main efficacy topic of Backpacking Education Course included:「Physiological and Intrinsic Energy Enhancement」、「Interpersonal Relationships and Connection」、「Professional Growth of Outdoor Instructors」、「Career Development」and「Learning Transfer」. This study also identified a new benefit within the 「Interpersonal Relationships and Connection」 dimension, which is 「Family Reconciliation and Intimate Bonding」.2.The present study categorizes the mechanisms underlying the benefits of outdoor adventure education programs into five dimensions: 「Learners' Intrinsic Motivation」、「Course Facilitators」、「Nature's Influence」、「Team Dynamics」 and 「Course Structure」. Based on the research findings, the following two recommendations are proposed for future research: 1. To explore the correlation between benefits and the mechanisms of benefits using various research approaches, thus enhancing the comprehensiveness of the research. 2.According to the research findings, 「 Course Facilitators」are a part of the mechanisms underlying the benefits. In this particular course, all instructors were male. Introducing female instructors into the program could potentially lead to different outcomes in terms of course benefits and the mechanisms of these benefits.en_US
