dc.description.abstract本研究旨在探討英語流行歌曲對以英語為外語的國中學生單字記憶的影響。為達成此目的,研究以臺中市一所公立國中的四十五名八年級學生為對象,進行為期六週的實驗,包括四個部分:前測、課堂教學、後測和延後測。課堂教學分為歌曲教學和歌曲聆聽兩個部分。在歌曲教學部分,兩組學生在六節課內學習了三首選定的英文流行歌曲的歌詞。在歌曲聆聽部分,實驗組聆聽帶有旋律的歌曲,而對照組則聆聽錄製好的歌詞朗讀。實驗結束後收集資料並採用量化分析。研究結果發現英語流行歌曲有助於促進國中學生單字記憶及保持。根據研究結果及發現,鼓勵教師可適時將英語流行歌曲帶入課堂,不僅能提高學生學習動機也能有助於單字記憶。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractThe study aims to investigate the effects of English pop songs on vocabulary recall among EFL junior high school students. The participants were forty-five eighth graders at a public junior high school in Taichung City. Data were collected from a 6-week experiment, including four sections: a pre-test, classroom instruction, a post-test, and a delayed post-test. Classroom instruction was divided into Song Teaching and Song Listening sections. Both groups learned vocabulary from the lyrics of three selected pop songs during the Song Teaching section over six periods. In the Song Listening section, the Experimental Group listened to the songs with melodies, while the Control Group listened to the spoken lyrics. The data were collected after the experiment and analyzed quantitatively. The study found that English pop songs help facilitate vocabulary recall and retention among junior high school students. Based on the results and findings, teachers are encouraged to incorporate English pop songs into their lessons when appropriate, as this can not only enhance students’ motivation to learn but also aid in vocabulary recall.en_US
