Abstract
臺灣自1973年正式推展資優教育實驗計畫以來,歷經40年,已有了多元的資優教育方案,迄2012學年,中小學共有2萬5,923(占學生總數的0.8%)名學生接受資優教育。本文探討臺灣資優教育史上的重要事件,解析歷史發展脈絡,再就政策特色和實施現況進行分析,藉以鑑往知來。
It has been 40 years since 1973 when Taiwan formally initiated the gifted and talented education (GATE) on experimental base. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Education, there are 25,923 gifted and talented students, accounted for 0.8% of the total grade 1-12 student population, served by various GATE programs in the 2012 academic year. This article explores the critical events in the history of GATE in Taiwan and analyzes its current GATE policies and practices. By reviewing the past, it is hoped that we could foresee the future.
