Abstract
The aims of this procedure were to investigate the preventive behavioral intentions of fine particulate matters (PM2.5) and the related factors in junior high school students. Data were collected by questionnaires and used the stratified-cluster sampling method. The total sample size of 768 from Taiwan junior high school students. The main findings of this study were as follows. 1. The scores of preventive knowledge of fine particulate matters were above average. The preventive attitude of fine particulate matters of the students was positive, and the preventive behavioral intention of fine particulate matters of the students was good. The environmental sensitivity of the students was positive. The self-efficacy of the students was high. 2. Gender, grade, county and the experience of the environmental education significantly influenced the preventive behavioral intentions of fine particulate matters. 3. Environmental sensitivity, preventive attitude, and self-efficacy could significantly predict the 63.3% variance of preventive behavioral intentions of fine particulate matters. According to the findings of the study, we suggest that the environmental education-related activities and course should be continuous in school to encourage students to participate so as to enhance their environmental sensitivity and maintain the long-term positive attitude and increase practical participation for self-efficacy and behavioral intentions.
