Abstract

With the popularization of personal computers and the internet, the threshold for entry into today's publishing industry has lowered, requiring less initial capital. Not only have traditional publishing houses gradually declined, transitioning from mass publishing to niche markets, but there has also been a trend toward personalized and customized micro-publishing. Many editors have left publishing houses to establish their own micro-enterprises, such as publishing studios. Moreover, due to the flexible organizational structure of Taiwanese publishing houses, a single individual can operatefrom home. Currently, Taiwan's publishing industry is relatively mature, with specialized divisions; as long as there is creativity, one person can complete book publishing. Publishing is no longer solely reliant on professional publishing houses as it was in the past. This creative discourse documents the creative process of micro-publishing. The genesis of this creation stems from the fact that this publication serves as auxiliary teaching materials for the author. Through integrating the author's teaching needs over thepast decade with publishing and writing experiences, this publication was created. Therefore, in the internal content planning, apart from personal teaching requirements, a literature review was conducted to understand existing relevant types of books on the market. This not only helps understand the market but also ensures that the created book stands out from other publications in the market. The external production and distribution of the creation were facilitated by the author's years of practical publishing experience, allowing the physical books to be smoothly sold and sustaining the operation of micro-publishing. Following the book's publication, actual sales and new book launches were carried out. Feedback and inquiries from readers were used to discuss and make revisions regarding the content of the book and publishing-related matters. This serves as a reference for future creators who wish to produce and distribute books through micro-publishing.
