築構心中玫瑰花園──水彩創作研究

Abstract

本創作研究的題目「築構心中玫瑰花園」，主要是「築夢」──圓一個筆者童年時期想要開闢一片玫瑰花園的夢想。這個意念緣於童年，時至今日始終沒有忘懷的美麗的夢想。筆者喜愛玫瑰花；喜愛玫瑰花的花語和愛情的意涵；喜愛玫瑰花的香氣和繽紛色彩；喜歡漫步在玫瑰花園，觀看曼妙飛舞的粉蝶和不經意發現的驚喜……藉著本創作研究，筆者選擇了另一個方式築夢，即是用水彩畫的形式，依心中的藍圖，完成夢想中的玫瑰花園，期待觀者一踏入展廳的那一刻，彷彿就是進入了筆者心中的玫瑰花園。累積多年的規劃，筆者心中的這份藍圖已經完成，園內的建設有：花圃、噴泉水池、藝術雕像、拱門花架、涼亭躺椅……蜿蜒的步道交織其中，另外種植一大片可以赤腳走路隨意躺平的草地。筆者依照心中藍圖的景點，一張張構圖，三年多的時間，用彩筆繪製創作了五十餘幅作品，建構了花園的雛形，同時用文筆紀錄了創作作品的意涵與心得，留住當下的感動。本次創作的作品，筆者喜歡加入陽光的元素。因此，取景時都選擇了晴天的早上與午後入園。作品結構所需的元素，完全採用筆者親自拍攝的照片，同時也參考當時速寫寫生簿的紀錄。作品以寫實的技法來表現，媒材選用透明水彩與水彩紙，作品的形式用平面繪畫中的水彩畫來呈現。作品的內容分成三個系列：浪漫庭園系列、童話寓意系列與懷舊系列。The topic of this study, Renaissance of the Rose Garden in My Heart, is based on the concept of “building a dream” – to complete my childhood dream of creating a rose garden. This idea originated in my childhood with a beautiful dream that has never been forgotten. I love roses; I love the floriography of roses to the meaning of love; I love the fragrance, richness, and diversity of colors of roses; I like to wander the rose garden, observe the flying butterflies and discover all kinds of unexpected surprises. Through this study, I chose a different way to construct my dream. That is, using watercolor as the medium to materialize the blueprint of the rose garden in my dream. My hope is that viewers enter my dream garden as soon as they step into the exhibition hall.After years of planning, I have completed the blueprint. The major elements of the garden are flowerbeds, fountains, ponds, art statues, flower stands, pavilions and recliners, winding walkways, and a large lawn that could be walked on barefoot or laid down at will. Based on those scenic spots in my blueprint, I composed the garden frame by frame. Over the three years, I have finished more than 50 watercolor paintings to construct the rose garden. At the same time, I documented my experience and reflections with words to preserve those emotions.As to these watercolor paintings, I particularly would like to emphasize the element of sunshine. Therefore, I chose to enter the park on sunny mornings or afternoons to frame components of the painting. All scenes depicted in these paintings are referenced from my own photographs as well as notes jotted down when the photos were taken. All paintings are presented using the realism technique. Transparent watercolor and watercolor paper are both used. The form of painting is presented in plainpaintings. The content of the work is divided into three series: the romantic garden series, the fairy tale metaphor series, and the nostalgic series.
