高中野外實察行動監控與評量平台設計

Abstract

地理實察是地理教育中最為重要的課程之一,但因為教學環境的開放性與師生比例懸殊等條件的影響下,造成實施的過程中教師容易遭遇學生安全或戶外教學效率不彰等問題,而近年來應用於野外實察的相關行動學習研究亦缺乏安全監控與即時通訊等需求的有效解決方案。因此本研究針對以上問題,開發戶外手機教學導航、網頁教師監控界面以及架構於兩者之間的行動評量系統,同時透過主從式結構與分散式伺服器的設計來提升資料交換的效率,以降低使用者端的硬體負擔,同時提高伺服器的負載能力。系統測試方面選擇台北市北投區貴子坑水土保持園區作為實地測試區域,由測試結果顯示手機、網頁與伺服器端的系統在各個測試點皆能有效運作,但是受限於運作過程中需依賴行動通訊的高速封包存取進行資料流的交換,因此在部份受到地形遮蔽的考察區域,資料傳輸速率會大受影響。
Fieldwork is one of the most important assignments for geographic education. However there are considerations which do not favor for the implementation of fieldwork in all high schools, such as student safety in an open environment and unbalanced student faculty ratio. These doubts are often to be brought out as considering of the preparation for the off-campus lecture is inefficient. Furthermore, in the recent years the study of fieldwork conduction through mobile learning is lacking of solution of monitoring and real time communication system. Therefore, this study is aimed to develop outdoor navigation system, teacher monitoring and assessment system. At the same time we use client-server architecture to enhance efficiency of data translation and server capability, moreover reduce the loading at smartphone and monitoring system. The study area for the system test locates in Gue-Tzu-Kun, Beitou in the suburban Taipei. The test results indicate that mobile phone, web and server-side systems in most test points are able to function effectively. However the system is limited to 3.5G communication network, Therefore the terrain shelter will greatly affect the efficiency of data transmission in some regions.
