Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of an interactive multimedia sexuality learning program (including 4 learning units) which was specially developed for students with intellectual disabilities. The participants in the experimental group received an interactive multimedia-based course while the participants in the control group received a paper-based course. The results showed that the improvement of the experimental group in overall sexual knowledge and in each separate learning unit were all better than the performance of the control group. Additionally, the experimental group showed a significant improvement in overall sexual knowledge and in each separate learning unit (F=111.79***, 127.72***, 125.26***, 43.55***, 30.84***; p<.001). The results indicated that the interactive multimedia sexuality learning program was helpful for the learning related to sexuality knowledge of students with intellectual disabilities.
