創價太平洋合唱團的虛擬合唱計畫<母親>之實作歷程研究

Abstract

2020年COVID-19新型冠狀病毒大流行，一切人類活動受限居家隔離、社交疏離等行政命令被迫停止。面對如此窘境，世界各地許多合唱團紛紛轉以製作虛擬合唱，為不能見面合唱的日子創造「合唱」的契機。 然虛擬合唱並非疫情下的產物，美國作曲家艾瑞克・韋塔克（Eric Whitacre, 1970-）早在2010年即製作出他的第一部虛擬合唱《金色光芒》（Lux Aurumque, 2000）。2020年，因應疫情對人與人互動帶來的諸多限制，虛擬合唱興起成為全球的合唱現象，研究者所屬的創價太平洋合唱團，為了突破無法實體團練的窘境，隨即在2020年4月，以一個月的時間嘗試製作虛擬合唱〈母親〉，為研究者提供最直接的內容與第一手的研究題材。 本論文共分為五章。第一章為緒論；第二章文獻探討，討論虛擬合唱的定義及韋塔克虛擬合唱計畫的製作經驗及相關研究；第三章則詳實紀錄虛擬合唱〈母親〉實作歷程，包含〈母親〉樂曲分析、企劃過程及影音後製等工作；第四章則是研究者親自實驗的指揮影片製作歷程，探討當指揮、鋼琴與團員在無法見面的情況下，該如何完成影音錄製，提出合唱指揮在虛擬合唱製作中的學習反思；第五章為本論文之結論，綜合討論虛擬合唱〈母親〉的研究歷程重點，並提出虛擬合唱於當代合唱領域延伸出跨領域的新課題。In 2020, all human activities are forced to stop under the administrative orders such as quarantine and social distance, because of COVID-19 pandemic. In such dilemma, many choirs around the world have turned to make a virtual choir, for we can still “singing together” during the days we can't meet and sing. Virtual choir is not a product of the epidemic, it comes from Eric Whitacre, a American composer, who created the very first Virtual Choir in 2010. In 2020, due to COVID-19 pandemic, virtual choir has become a global phenomenon. Soka Pacific Ocean Chorus which researcher belongs, in order try to break out the dilemma, takes a month producing The Virtual Choir “Mother” in April 2020. It provided a first-hand research for researcher on virtual choir. This thesis is divided into five chapters. chapter one is the introduction; Chapter two is the literature, discussing the definition of virtual choir and the production experience of Eric Whitacre’s virtual choir and related research; Chapter three is the implementation of The Virtual Choir"Mother", including music analysis, planning process, video and audio post-production; In Chapter 4, researcher offer personal experimentation of the production of virtual choir conducting film: when the conductor, the piano and the group members cannot meet together, how to complete the recording. At last, put forward the learning and reflection of choral conductor in virtual choir production; Chapter 5 is the conclusion of this thesis, discussing the key points of the research of The Virtual Choir "Mother", and put forward the cross-domain subject that virtual choir extends to contemporary chorus.
