簡約的雕塑性街道椅凳創作

Abstract

本研究將對簡約的雕塑形式做深入的探討、研究後，並融會體現自我本質來創作 街道傢俱之椅凳，藉由蒐集簡約之定義和雕塑性探討的文獻及歸納其理論基礎，並透蒐集簡約雕塑以及簡約風格坐椅案例探討，藉以強化簡約雕塑性街道椅凳的設計運用，有助於創作簡約雕塑性街道椅凳之美感張力，在研究的過程中透過文獻蒐集及整合，探討歸納出簡約雕塑性文獻的意涵；形式簡化到最少的程度，以簡勝繁的效果運用；並蒐集著名簡約雕塑作品及論述，以便瞭解設計創作者的歷史背景和設計創作的藝術張力表現與創作執行流程。並且蒐集街道椅凳的解釋與風格，探討街道椅凳與環境的關係，以及簡約雕塑性街道椅凳設置的時代性之特色與功能。 在創作的風格上，除了選擇具有西方簡約風格的包浩斯傢俱(Marcel Breuer)設計外，還論述了東方最具代表明式傢俱官帽椅，理解其實用、美觀、簡潔、舒適的魅力。所以經過簡約雕塑性文獻蒐集、簡約雕塑作品及論述、街道椅凳的認識，統合融會創作一系列簡約的雕塑性街道椅凳的創作，使作品成為，帶給更多人能直接在生活上就可攀坐、觸摸、欣賞的藝術品，使其生活空間因簡潔和純淨而充滿放鬆的藝術張力。

This thesis’ focus is an in-depth research on Minimalist sculpture. The ultimate goal is to create street-furniture chairs, applying my particular use of form and line that is concise,economical, and aesthetic. The theoretical foundation of Minimalism is evident from the body of writings that define and discuss Minimalist sculpture.Reference to other studies on Minimalist sculpture and chairs will enhance my design, and create an aesthetic tension in my Minimalist street-chairs. My research is divided into following steps: Define the meaning of Minimalist sculpture and its theory through existing writings, so as to maximize simplicity in my sculptural artworks, to achieve the effect of “simplicity exceeding complexity.” Review renowned Minimalist sculptural artworks and writings to understand the historical background of design-creators, the artistic tension of their artworks, and the process of creating them. Gather styles and descriptions of street-chairs. Study their relationship with their environment, and the characteristics and functions of Minimalist street-chairs at the time they were installed. Compare Minimalist style of furniture with Bauhaus’s steel-tube chairs designed by Marcel Breuer of the West, and Ming-style armchairs of the East. From this comparison, we can understand the charm of being practical, aesthetic, simple, and comfortable in both styles. After the review and study of Minimalist sculptural writings and artworks, I will create a series of Minimalist street-chair artworks that people can sit-on, climb- on, touch, and appreciate in their daily lives. The simplicity and purity of the designed artworks intend to make living space fill with relaxing, artistic tension.
