Abstract
This study explores women's participation in Aikido's leisure participation experience from a gender perspective. Leisure allows everyone to choose their own activities and enjoy their happiness and satisfaction. However, women tend to be invisible under the social context of male-oriented vision, and are influenced by social roles, restricting their leisure participation. However, this does not allow women to be excluded. This study selects Aikido as the main category. The study targets women who have participated in more than 10 years. They can maintain long-term and fixed frequency leisure participation. Therefore, this study uses in-depth interviews to collect data, and explores the following: First, how the leisure experience of these female participants continues to participate affects their participation; Second, the gender experience experienced by women in Aikido and the mechanism of response; finally, understand the self-identification and self-change that female participants have established in the process. After the compilation and analysis of the interview data, there are several findings in this study: First, even though female participants encounter many resistances to gender structure in the process, fortunately there is a positive support force to urge them to continue practicing. Second, the gender system affects women's Aikido participation, women experience a gendered Aikido, and women develop corresponding response mechanisms. Third, the positive experience of women participating in Aikido is fed back to women themselves, enabling them to establish self-identity and value.
