女性使用紙膠帶做裝飾與拼貼之動機和形式分析

Abstract

本論文為探討台灣北、中、南三地區之18-27歲年輕女性,使用紙膠帶做裝飾與拼貼的動機、運用紙膠帶進行創作的作品形式、以及喜愛紙膠帶的緣由。根據文獻資料顯示,過去有不少藝術家或設計師擅用生活日常物件、印刷品、裝飾品等諸多媒材,作為拼貼藝術的創作材料。而身處流行文化之下的群體與個體因受到「類似性」的影響,個體的喜好會趨向於群體的偏好。本研究以網路問卷調查方法獲知366位女性使用者的紙膠帶使用背景,再從中找出7位作為訪談對象。研究結果發現:紙膠帶使用者多為學生族群,占網路問卷總填答人數的六成,且紙膠帶為每週必使用物品,使用地點為室內的個人專屬空間;使用者通常運用紙膠帶進行各式卡片的製作、裝飾書信、拼貼手帳(本)、或居家佈置。根據網路問卷調查結果顯示,多數使用者收藏的紙膠帶品牌以日本mt和紙膠帶為主,台灣品牌菊水KIKUSHI次之。多數使用者的紙膠帶經驗為愉快且美好,因此促使了紙膠帶使用者持續進行拼貼與創作。影響使用者選購紙膠帶或相關周邊商品的因素:研究者發現使用者購物的動機,大多源自於自己內心的慾望或是深受紙膠帶圖樣的吸引,亦或是因為身處的環境氛圍而衝動購物。研究者觀察時下使用紙膠帶進行拼貼、創作的女性使用者,從購買紙膠帶到使用的過程當中,受到社群影響相當大。如:因為與社群的互動方式,影響個人使用紙膠帶的行為,便產生了類似性且程序化的紙膠帶使用模式。透過與社群的互動,使用者得以學習拼貼的技巧,並靈活地運用各式媒材進行創作。除了產生各式各樣的拼貼作品,使用者藉由創作的過程瞭解自己,亦透過完成的拼貼作品能有重新檢視自我的機會。在心理層面,使用者因與他人分享自已的創作,時常獲得對方的稱讚、欽佩或肯定,因此產生對自我的認同感與成就感。研究者將使用者的紙膠帶拼貼作品歸類成三種創作風格:單純裝飾類、實用目的類、自我表現類。本論文除了探討女性使用者的紙膠帶使用動機與創作形式之外,透過研究對象的回饋與建議,亦幫助研究者瞭解紙膠帶在消費者心目中的價值與影響程度。
The aim of this thesis is to investigate the ladies between 18 and 29 who use masking tapes in Taiwan, including northern Taiwan, the midst of Taiwan, and southern Taiwan. The investigation is about the motive of using masking tapes for decoration and collage, the form of works created by masking tapes, and the reason of loving masking tapes. According to the previous research, artists and designers were clever at using commodities, printed products, and decorations as materials for collage. Individuals and groups living under the atmosphere of pop culture get influenced by “similarity,” so the individual tends to show preference to what most people are fond of. From 366 participants in the online-survey of this study, we learned that the individual history of using making tapes. Based on their using histories, 7 participants were chosen for advanced interviews. The result shows that people who use making tapes most are students, which accounts for 60% of total participants in the survey.Moreover, the making tapes become the weekly art supplies in their life, and the point of use making tapes is an indoor private space. Participants usually use making tapes to make various cards, to embellish letters, to collage notepads, and to decorate indoor environment. According to the online-survey, the brand of masking tape that most respondents collect is mt masking tape, which is a Japanese brand; the second one is KIKUSHI masking tape, which is a Taiwanese brand. Most of the participants have delightful experiences in using masking tapes, which is conducive to their continued collage and artistic creation. The influencing factors of users buying masking tapes or peripheral products: researcher discovered that the major incentives of purchasing masking tapes for participants are to satisfy their inner desires, or being fascinated by the patterns on masking tapes, or is because of the surrounding atmosphere that contributes to impulse purchases. According to observation, researcher learned that the female who collages and creates via masking tapes is influenced by the community.For example, the interaction between an individual and people might influence the way that one uses masking tapes, which bring about a similar and sequencing mode of using masking tapes. Through interacting with people, users acquire collage skills, and create works with various materials flexibly.In addition to creating all sorts of collages, the users can get to know themselves and review themselves as well. As for the mentality, users acquire a sense of identity and accomplishment from getting praise, earning admiration, and gaining recognition when they exhibit their works. In this study, researcher categorizes the works created with masking tapes into three styles:decoration, practical utility, and self-expression. In this study, besides investigating into the women’s motive for using masking tapes and their creation form, it is conducive to understanding that the value of the masking tape in a consumer’s mind’s eye and the impact it made on buyers.
