音樂劇《梅蒂妮》導演詮釋分析

Abstract
《梅蒂妮》講述中東地區的「榮譽殺人」事件,故事主角梅蒂妮因私奔被父親活埋,而她的靈魂陷入迴圈當中,在故事中梅蒂妮會經歷三次的故事重演,但梅蒂妮最後的結局都還是死去,傳達女性在中東文化中沒有選擇的權益。此劇本是純戲劇改編音樂劇,原劇有著獨特的「迴圈式架構」,與傳統音樂劇的劇本架構不同,在改編上有著其困難度。筆者將以導演的角度分析,如何將純戲劇文本內容,改編成歌詞並加入音樂、舞蹈成為音樂劇。第一章節為筆者自身的創作背景以及創作此齣作品的動機;第二章節是對原劇本的劇作家、角色、伊斯蘭文化的研究;第三章節針對劇情做深入的研究及分析;第四章節為筆者對於此劇的導演詮釋以及改編;第五章節將針對改編後的作品進行的結論。
"Medine" depicts honor killings in the Middle East. The protagonist, Medine, is buried alive by her father for eloping, and her soul becomes trapped in a loop. In the story, Medine experiences three repetitions of her tale, but she ultimately dies each time, conveying the lack of choice for women in Middle Eastern culture. This script is a purely dramatic adaptation into a musical, featuring a unique "loop structure" that differs from traditional musical scripts, posing challenges in adaptation.This paper will analyze, from a director's perspective, how to adapt the purely dramatic text into lyrics and incorporate music and dance to create a musical. The first chapter details the author's creative background and motivation for creating this work; the second chapter explores the original playwright, characters, and Islamic culture; the third chapter conducts an in-depth study and analysis of the plot; the fourth chapter presents the author's directorial interpretation and adaptation; and the fifth chapter concludes the adapted work.
