Abstract

This study focuses on investigating a novel perovskite material, (MB〖A)〗_2 CuCl_4,which exhibits exceptionally strong chiroptical properties. Circular dichroism(CD) spectroscopy revealed that material achieves an asymmetric factor(g-factor) of up to 0.08 at wavelength of 383nm.To explore its potential application in spin light-emitting diode(spin-LED),we compare (MB〖A)〗_2 CuCl_4 with another perovskite material, (MB〖A)〗_2 PbBr_4,which has been extensively studied and serves as a benchmark for our research due to the availability of substantial prior work and literature. After characterizing and comparing the properties of these two materials, we proceeded to integrate them into spin-LED structures. Most existing spin-LED studies focus on spin polarization of holes injected into the device. This research aims to investigate the feasibility of achieving spin polarization of electrons within the LED structure. Spin-LED fabricated using (MB〖A)〗_2 PbBr_4 demonstrated an external quantum efficiency(EQE) of 1.14% and a circularly polarized electroluminescence(CPEL) asymmetric factor of 0.01.In contrast, spin-LED based on (MB〖A)〗_2 CuCl_4 exhibited an EQE of 0.11% and a CPEL asymmetric factor of 0.007.These results successfully demonstrate the potential for electron spin selective chiral electroluminescence using spin-LED.
