立體卡片之結構分析與創作研究

Abstract

立體卡片具有遞訊傳息的功能,比起平面賀卡在成本的投入與銷售目標的範圍更大,平面與立體的轉換使得創作的發揮更加的廣闊,對於消費者來說,受其吸引關注及反饋更佳,蒐藏價值高。本研究創作的主要目標有二:(1)蒐集市面上販售的立體卡片,再挑選出個案加以分析,並訪談國內資深相關工作者,整理歸納出立體結構對於整體視覺及動態的加益效果;(2)根據研究結果選擇適合的設計題材,針對主題加以發想及創作。立體卡片所呈現的立體結構最早是使用在立體書上,而立體書要合上才能收納,賀卡也是需要回復為平面方便寄送傳遞,由此可知能夠收合為平面才是立體卡片的重點。基本立體結構以「矩陣結構」及「斜角結構」為主要運用基礎,矩陣結構的特點是體積,可以使用堆疊的方式來呈現「層景」或「劇場」等結構,或以加黏的方式加以長度的控制也可呈現「雙足」結構;而斜角結構的特色是角度的變化,衍伸出的結構有「三角基」,可使立體卡片表現出動態感,也可使用在架出空間感,如「環景」及「椎狀」等。當然還有各種結構交互使用,歸類為「複合式結構」。研究結果綜合樣本分析及訪談結果所得:(1)使用結構上矩陣結構占多數;(2)主題類型以萬用卡居多;(3)皆有強調及凸顯主題。本創作主題設定為觀光旅遊立體卡片,以建築物、動物、自然景觀及人文的互動做為發想。綜合得出的結論有(1)結構以簡單而重複的層疊使用表現為佳;(2)以複合功能較具價值;(3)大尺寸展示效果為佳。本研究提出近代立體卡片設計可參考模式,並將現有的各種結構分類統整,以利後續創作的結構使用上能更明瞭的選擇,並提供後續創作者一個可參考的流程。在創作檢討後修正,亦為日後相關領域的後續研究提供了一個可行方向。
Pop-up cards can pass more messages than flat greeting cards. Though Pop-up cards cost much than flat greeting cards, it will gain more profit. For the designers, the conversion from 2D to 3D(dimension) can provide more freedom for their creation. For the consumers, Pop-up cards can get more attraction and feedback, and worthwhile for collection. The main objectives of this research are: (1) After collect and select the Pop-up cards on the market, interview the senior artist to get the conclusion for the visual and dynamic benefit of spatial structure. (2) Based on the conclusion to choose suitable design subject, then proceed the concept and creation. The first version of spatial structure is from Pop-up books. Pop-up books are able to be stored flat. Pop-up cards need to be stored and delivered flat, too. To fold and unfold is the main point for Pop-up cards. "Rectangle Structure" and "Bevel Structure" is the basis of spatial structure. Rectangle Structure is characterized by volume. It can be stacked to represent the structure such as "Layer Structure" or "Theater Structure"; or lengthen material to be “Biped Structure”; Bevel Structure is characterized by variety of angles which can derive triangular base to make the cards more dynamic and special to represent the structure such as “Panorama Structure” and “Cone Structure”; also, there many methods to be used interactively which called “Complex Structure”. Based on the comprehensive sample analysis and interview result, we get the conclusion as below. (1) " Rectangle Structure " is in the majority; (2) Regards to the subject, Universal card is in the majority; (3) all emphasize and highlight the topic. The subject for this work is “Sightseeing”. The idea is from buildings, animals, natural landscapes, and humanities. The conclusions are summarized as below. (1)Regards to structure, simple and repeat stacked layers are good. (2) Complex function is more valuable; (3) big size gets best effect. The research shows a reference model for modern Pop-up cards, and classify current structures which the card designers can choose to use wisely. For card designers, the research also provides a reference SOP (Standard Operating Procedures). After reviewing my work, the amendment can provide a workable direction for future research in related field.
