dc.description.abstract | 中華職棒(CPBL)五支球隊,近年來各自打造出專屬的應援文化。 | zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | The five teams of the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) have developed their own cheering style in recent five years. There are signs of transnational cultural appropriation and hybridization, which painted a"Taiwanese" cultural imagination for the fans. Between 1990 and 2012, The cheering style referenced the marching bands (namely brass band) of Japanese high school. Cheering band members performed with trumpets, gongs and Chinese drums, whose cheering sounds were surged with great momentum. In addition to that, fans chanting and cheering props also played an important role in baseball cheering culture. The cheering sounds and music took a divergent turn after 2013, when Lamigo Monkeys (namely Rakuten Monkeys ) added an electronic music element. It was originated from Korea Professional baseball cheering culture to create new supporting atmosphere in the Taoyuan International Baseball Stadium. The new cheering sound culture from Lamigo Monkeys attracted to other four teams to introduce electronic music into their Home game. It has represented another framework of"Taiwanese" baseball cheering culture that Japan and Korea cheering sound elements were included, will be constructed in the world. This research uses two kinds of qualitative methods to observe the construction of Taiwan Professional baseball cheering sound culture. The first method is that the researcher analyzed different types of cheering songs, such as team theme, players songs, and “Chance” songs --- derived from Japanese sports culture to indicate an opportunity in the game. The researcher also analyzed the cheering music according to the different scenarios, such as home game, away game, and international games. The second method is to interview the team leaders of the cheerleading squads on three teams: Rakuten Monkeys, Weichuan Dragons and CTBC Brothers. Not only can they build up their respective features, but also represents the multi-generational imagination of ‘Taiwanese ‘cheering culture framework. According to these qualitative methods, this research shows that the development of ‘Taiwanese’ cheering style, appropriated and hybridized elements from the Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean and American baseball culture. In particular, music and other sounds element which attract lots of fans to the baseball stadium have played an important role in representing different frameworks of ‘Taiwanese’ cheering soundscape. | en_US |
