瑜伽參與者正念經驗之現象學研究

Abstract

本研究旨在探討瑜伽參與者在練習過程中的正念經驗,從研究者在瑜伽的練習過程中體驗到的正念為起始,運用現象學研究方法,以深度訪談方式,呈現研究參與者描述自身的瑜伽練習經驗,並將她們的瑜伽經驗與正念作連結,同時分享這些正念經驗,是如何體現在生活當中。 本研究以「瑜伽經驗」作為研究主軸,先以文獻回顧的方式,理解正念及瑜伽的內涵與概念,並從10位研究參與者的經驗描述過程中,一一釐出瑜伽練習中的正念感觸。在瑜伽中的經驗與正念相做連結的部分中,研究者發現6個一般性主題,分別為「專注於當下,讓自己處在屬於自己的空間之中」、「不評價,並覺察自己內心的聲音」、「耐心,允許自己身體隨著它的速度成長」、「覺察與接納當下自己的一切,然後放下」、「信任,尊重自己最深沉的感受」、「透過呼吸,我們與自己的生命相連接」;至於正念經驗如何體現在日常生活中的部分裡,研究者剖析出4個一般性主題「提升身體機能」、「從墊子上到生活中,讓情緒穩定下來」、「學會接納最真實的自己」及「透過練習,生活開始產生變化」。 根據前述的10個一般性主題,研究者綜合整理出三個普遍性主題,分別為「健康追尋」、「外在覺察」及「內在收攝」。我們能夠從文獻當中了解正念的概念,但研究參與者描繪的這些瑜伽中的正念經驗,讓我們看到正念不一樣的樣貌,並從中汲取,重新演繹成屬於自己的正念。
The purpose of this paper is discussing the experiences of mindfulness of yoga practitioners. We use phenomenological method and depth-interviews to thoroughly analyze the experiences of yoga practitioners. By these methods,we can see how mindfulness represents in daily life of yoga practitioners and how their experiences can be connected with mindfulness Yoga’s experience is the main theme in this study. Firstly, we describe the definition of yoga and mindfulness by reviewing several literatures. Secondly, we interview 10 yoga practitioners to understand their feeling concerning mindfulness when they practice yoga. We find out six general topics concerning yoga and mindfulness. We list those general topics respectively. “To Live in the present moment and place themselves in their own spaces.” “To follow their inner voices without judgements.” “To allow their bodies to grow themselves with patience.” “To observe and accept everything we have now, then let it go.” “To trust and respect our inner feelings.” “To connect ourselves to our life via breathing.” After analyzing how the yoga practitioners represent their experiences of mindfulness in their life, we summarize and list four general topics. “To Improve the function of our bodies.” “To stabilize our mood through practicing yoga.” “To stay true to ourselves.” “To change our life by practicing yoga.” According to the general topics summarized above, we choose three critical topics, which include “To pursue for healthy life”, “To observe externally”, and “To receive internally”. To sum up, we can catch up with the definition of mindfulness by reviewing several literatures. Moreover, we can see how the mindfulness represents in different ways by analyzing the experiences of those yoga practitioners. More importantly, we can foster our own mindfulness by learning from their experiences.
