Abstract

本研究目的在瞭解資訊科技人員成為企業高階經理人之生涯發展及影響生涯決策的因素。研究者經文獻探討擬定訪談大綱後,透過多重個案訪談的方式,分別訪問四位擔任高科技公司總經理以上職位之高階經理人。經收集、整理、分析與探討資料後,得到以下之研究發現:(1)對IT人員而言,個人人格特質、父母親與配偶的態度及重大事件的發生,在成長過程中扮演重要且關鍵的角色,並足以影響個人的生涯決策。此外,培養個人興趣、發展專業能力和奠定良好的學習基礎,對IT人員往後的生涯發展有莫大的助益。(2)儘管IT人員成為企業高階經理人的歷程各自不同,但努力學習、把握專業成長的機會,加上他人的信賴與支持,卻是他們能在職業生涯歷程中發展順利的主要原因。(3)IT人員選擇大專就讀的科系時,會以社會潮流、就業市場導向與工作發展性做為主要考量。若從專業技術職轉換到管理職時,「他人、職業倫理、時機、人生觀與發揮的空間」則是IT人員考量的因素。此外,「個人、他人、工作本身與組織」亦是影響IT人員選擇職業的因素。
The purpose of this study is to understand that the careers of IT engineers who become top managers and the factors affecting their career decision-makings. Through the multiple case interview, this study examined four top managers of Hi-Tech companies. After gathering, arranging, analyzing and discussing the data, the main conclusions of this study were: (1) For IT engineers, personal traits, attitudes of the parents and the spouse and emergence of the major event, playing an important key role in the course of growing up and affecting the personal career decision-makings. In addition, training the personal interests, developing professional abilities and establishing the good foundation of studies were profitable to IT engineers’ careers. (2) Though the tracks that IT engineers become top managers were different, but they had the common features that made their careers smoothly, such as studying hard, holding opportunities and some other persons’ trust and support. (3) IT engineers would consider the tide of society, job market and the future of the jobs when they selected their majors. They would consider the others, job ethics, opportunities, philosophies and the specialized space they had as they left technique’s job for management. In addition, individuals, the others, job itself and organizations affecting IT engineers when they selected the jobs.
