Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to, by way of an exploration of how Tug-of-war members differ in their movement time because they use different start postures to achieve various movement patterns, understand what start posture employed to achieve a movement pattern will result in better team performance. The testers are students in an eight-member tug of war in elementary school . The experimenting method is the synchronized recording with a PEAK PERFORMANCE high speed camera and KISTLER force plate, gathering the information of the movement time of each member , from the start posture , either open standing or closed one , to the completion of high ,middle and low postures. The data is therefore analyzed with Excel system. The results are as follows: 1. The start posture of an open standing posture to complete a low posture movement results in better team performance. 2. The start posture of an closed standing posture to complete a high posture movement leads to better team performance. 3. The longer the time is in completing a movement time when taking a start posture with an open standing posture , the better the team performance will be. 4. The shorter the time is in completing a movement time when taking a start posture with a closed standing posture , the better the team performance will be.
