臺灣印尼語言談社群之研究

Abstract

本論文主要研究臺灣印尼語言談社群。這幾年因為東協國家崛起，印尼語這個非本土語言，逐漸在我國語言環境中形成一股標準化的東南亞語言。對於印尼語的理解，若足以充分的觀念，賦予正確的解釋，能提供社會大眾對於這個語言的族群差異有足夠的理解。

本研究目的在於跳脫以往的討論框架，藉由印尼語言談社群的形成，提出族群不應是建立在主觀的概括而論，應區分出其差異性為何。是此，檢討語言變化以及文化現象，必須以此為審視基點。來自印尼的群體，會因其不同時空的歷史和地區等因素，產生不同的社會網絡及互動模式。 族群外語是屬於臺灣大部分新移民的語言，目前越南語、印尼語、泰語於我國屬語言大宗，若與美國、澳洲等西方國家相較，臺灣本身的非本土語言和共同語之間地位懸殊，非本土語言的處境明顯處於弱勢，這個現象在我國的語言環境當中，是不能被忽視的。

本研究的研究目的，在於探究我國語言環境中的印尼言談社群，分析不同對象、不同場合所呈現的語言模式。透過綜上所述的研究背景與研究動機，本節提出研究目的與研究問題，以確立研究的主要方向。

The study aims to analyze the Indonesian speech community in Taiwan, as ASEAN countries have seen significant rise and development in the recent years, and the Indonesian language, a language not native to Taiwan, has gradually become a standardized Southeast Asian language. If appropriate interpretations and correct explanations can be provided, the general public can be given an adequate understanding of its distinctness.

The purpose of the study is to be free of past discussion frameworks and to promote the idea that reception of an ethnicity should not be based on subjective perception, but rather focus on the existing differences. It should be the basis for in which language and culture phenomenon can be reviewed. The ethnic group from Indonesia will develop different social networks and interaction methods due to different historical backgrounds and regions.

Language of ethnic groups is the language used by majority of new immigrants, currently consisting of Vietnamese, Indonesian and Thai. Compared to USA, Australia or other Western countries, those who speak a foreign language and those who speak native languages experience astronomical differences in social status. Those who speak foreign language are distinctively disadvantaged, and this is a phenomenon in our nation’s language environment should not be neglected.

The purpose of the study is to review Indonesian speech community within our nation’s language environment and through the aforementioned research background and motives, by analyzing the language modes of different subjects and scenarios, establishing a clear purpose of the study.
