This study aims to explore the subjective physical and psychological impacts of participating in outdoor adventure activities and the adaptation process of the participants. It investigates the physical and mental benefits gained through engaging in outdoor adventure activities. This research employs semi-structured interviews and invites six experts from various fields of outdoor adventure activities as interviewees. Through the interviews, data was collected on the participants' expectations before the activities, their experiences during the activities, and their reflections afterward to understand the psychological and physical changes. The study gradually examines the participants' frequency of participation, cognition, physical changes, and psychological changes. During the activities, the interviewees shared some key moments, often accompanied by significant psychological challenges and physical stress. By detailing these experiences, the participants described their emotional responses and coping strategies when facing challenges, revealing the impact of outdoor adventures on psychological resilience and emotional states. Subsequently, the study investigates the participants' physical changes and adaptation processes during the activities. The participants observed improvements in their physical fitness and psychological changes, and described the adaptation methods and strategies they adopted when encountering difficulties and challenges to cope with the dangers and stress brought by the outdoor environment, as well as the long-term effects on psychological health and well-being. The psychological resilience, life satisfaction, and psychological breakthroughs brought about by outdoor adventure activities have significant implications for understanding the psychological value of such activities. Finally, by reflecting on both single activities and long-term participation experiences, the participants shared the impact of outdoor adventures on their emotions, psychological resilience, and life attitudes. The participants noted that these experiences were significantly different from their daily life experiences and had a profound impact on their personal development. The results of this study indicate that outdoor adventure activities have not only a significant impact on individuals' physical health but also a positive effect on their psychological health and emotional states. These findings contribute to a better understanding of the importance of outdoor activities in the fields of personal development and psychological health. Additionally, it has evident benefits for teamwork and interpersonal relationships. This study provides valuable empirical data for future related research.
